The Chinese are also a religious people. Known as the Yonghe Lamasery, tourists will find this elegant and ancient temple located in the northeast corner of Beijing. It is the largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery in present day China. Originally built in 1694 during the Qing Dynasty, at that time it was the residence of Emperor Yongzheng when he was just a prince.
